Tour operator partners
Fair Trade Tourism works with tour operators in source markets to promote Fair Trade Tourism certified businesses. Many operators indicate which businesses are certified by including the Fair Trade Tourism label in their brochures and online. If you cannot find this information with your tour operator, we recommend that you contact them and ask that they provide you with this information.
Certain tour operators have gone one step further, and undergone a process of becoming approved to sell Fair Trade Holidays. This means that the tour operator has undergone a check relating to their internal operations such as working conditions for their staff and environmental commitment. A Fair Trade Holiday has also been checked to ensure that all contracts (with service providers and hotels) are in accordance with the Fair Trade Tourism standard, whcih ensures that everyone involved gets a fair share of the benefits.
