What does this mean?

  • It is advisable that you keep a list of suppliers on record along with when you started buying from them. This is a clear way to show the length of supplier relationships.
  • The business also needs to actively try to foster good relations with its suppliers through regular communication with them and discussion over things that may go wrong. It is better to try and fix things with a current supplier than to just jump from one to the next.
  • If you have had to end a supplier relationship, there should be clear reasons as to why this was the case.
