The business has a written policy on harassment and exploitation. This policy specifically refer to sexual harassment

What does this mean?

  • The business must have a clearly written policy regarding sexual harassment as well as procedures on how to handle any incident.
  • The policy should make specific reference to children, adolescents, women and any other minority groups and how they can be protected in the workplace from harassment and exploitation.
  • The policy needs to be clearly explained to all employees.
  • It is recommended that a senior member of staff is appointed to manage the implementation of the policy. Where the likelihood of sexual harassment against women is high, the responsible person should preferably be a woman (or vice versa).
