The business has appointed a dedicated person for the onsite management of volunteers

What does this mean?

  • This is necessary to enable the volunteers to easily engage with a manager who is familiar with them and the programme.
  • This is especially relevant if the business runs a volunteer programme that has many volunteers operating at the same time.
  • This dedicated manager needs to have a written contract with the business.

What do I do?

  • In the Template Portal refer to the contract for volunteers (A1.6.2) and make this applicable for a volunteer programme manager.
  • It should include much the same information as in the volunteer’s contracts, except on a more senior management level with the associated responsibilities.
