The business keeps records of all disciplinary actions and the outcomes thereof

What does this mean?

  • Just as with recordkeeping of instances of discrimination, the same has to be done for recording disciplinary actions taken in the workplace.
  • This includes outcomes of actions as well as any follow ups as needed.
  • It is important that these records are kept for at least 5 years or permanently in an employee’s file.

What do I do?

  • A blank template for reporting of disciplinary actions taken can be found in the Template Portal.
