The business keeps records related to the implementation of the EMP/Code of Conduct

What does this mean?

  • Once the ERA and EMP have been completed, the business needs to start actioning the points as referred to in the EMP.
  • It is advisable that the business makes an individual or committee responsible for implementing the actions as laid out in the EMP.  This person(s) should then be given a clear appointment letter stating their roles and responsibilities in terms of this.  Alternatively these duties can also be reflected in the person’s job description.
  • Records must be kept by the business to show actions that were taken to meet the requirements of the EMP.
